The 52 Voting & Submission Site

The idea: a website dedicated to “resurrecting” good creative ideas killed by clients called “The 52″ (one winner per week, 52 weeks per year). To differentiate the interaction and tie it to the concept, I made the website rooted at the bottom of the browser’s frame. In other words, when a user lands on the site, their scroll bar is at the very bottom and to view more content, the user scrolls upwards — the exact opposite interaction of regular websites. By mimicking the rising movement of resurrection, this creates an interactive metaphor for the content itself. Additionally, the user can scroll through the submission thumbnails independently of the other content — another unique interaction that’s illustrated in the motion comp I created. There are intuitive submission and voting options on the website and all the winners are distinctly displayed at the very top because they’ve been fully “resurrected.”
